March 2026
Shippit is excited to announce these improvements and bug fixes. For an overview of the features released this month, see the Release Notes on the Shippit Help Centre.
Improvements
- Smart Shipping Rules now supports order modification, allowing merchants to automatically apply special handling instructions to orders based on set conditions.
- Merchants can now consolidate multiple orders into a single shipment directly from the New Orders screen, reducing duplicate consignments and freight costs.
- Estimated Delivery Date (EDD) is now available across the quotes and booking API endpoints, the Get Quote endpoint, and the orders page in the UI.
- Phone number validation is now enforced across the platform to prevent malformed numbers from causing issues with carrier integrations.
- Improved some functionality on the Company User Management page.
- CSV and FTP uploads now support parcel-level data, allowing you to specify individual package dimensions, weights, and types — including pallets — for orders with multiple packages.
- Improved the copy on a range of errors from the quote API to make them more descriptive.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where ShipmentDeliveryFailed emails were not being sent correctly for some shipments.
- Fixed a pricing bug affecting Shopify ATL (Authority to Leave) orders.
- Fixed a bug where orders in certain district/city suburbs were being assigned to incorrect zones.
